Louie is Captain Olimar's partner in Pikmin 2. He appears as a newcomer to Olimar's workplace at Hocotate Freight. He was raised by his grandmother who made him eat bugs and play with them, which helps him survive when Olimar accidentaly leaves him on the planet. Louie is a playable character in the games single and multiplayer modes.
In Super Smash Bros Brawl
Louie is featured as a randomly obtainable Trophy and Sticker in Brawl. Also, as with some other characters, Louie also effectively appears as an alternate colour scheme for Captain Olimar.

- His name is a japanese anagram of Luigi as Olimar is to Mario.
- As mentioned above, a costume of Olimar's closely remembles Louie. In the two player All-Star mode, the player faces two Olimars in the last round; the second Olimar has the "Louie" colour scheme.
