Anther's Ladder, sometimes referred to as Smashladder or Smash Ladder, is a website used for online play for Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, Project M, and fan-game Super Smash Flash 2. The website was created by Anther in March of 2014, replacing the Project M IRC chatrooms that were originally used for netplay. The website is also a platform for online tournaments, and is also used by professional players, namely Hungrybox, Kage, MrLz, and other players. It uses Dolphin, a GameCube and Wii emulator for Super Smash Bros. Melee, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Project M, and uses Project64k for Super Smash Bros.. The website uses Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS's native online play options, as there are no stable Wii U emulators that also have netplay capabilities.
