Shy Away are found in the Yoshi's Story stage of Super Smash Bros. Melee. Once you attack them they will run away(in fear). Chase after them and continue to attack to KO them. If items are turned on they will carry Food items to the stage. Attack them to make them drop the food.
For every Shy Away you KO, you get 20 points added to your "Shy Guy KO" bonus. Shy Away is one of the two misnamed characters in SSBM. The other is Banzai Bill.
