Abate is a smasher from New Jersey currently residing in Pittsburgh who mains Luigi. He is considered the best Luigi main in the United States, and one of the two best Luigi mains in the world along with Eddy Mexico. Originally a Falco main, he used Luigi as a counterpick character. After taking inspiration from fellow Luigi main, Vudujin, he has used Luigi as his main character of choice and has placed consistently high at most tournaments he participates in and has taken sets off of top smashers, including Hax, Cactuar, Westballz, and VaNz. Abate is currently ranked 1st on the Pittsburgh Melee Power Rankings.
