I've been thinking of making a custom skin for the wiki. I've had a few ideas, so here they are:

diversity
clearsky
cloronium
subspacial

For a live demo, paste the following text into either User:Username/monobook.css or User:Username/monaco.css (you 'll probably have to do a hard refresh):

@import "http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/User:Toomai/Skins/Diversity_(Monobook)";
@import "http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/User:Toomai/Skins/Diversity_(Monaco)";
@import "http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/User:Toomai/Skins/Clearsky_(Monobook)";
@import "http://super-smash-bros.wikia.com/wiki/User:Toomai/Skins/Clearsky_(Monaco)";

Tbh, monobook is what we should do. Damn wikia for not letting us make it default. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 15:54, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
I would make two skins with the same colour scheme; one for the better skin and one for Monaco. Toomai Glittershine Data Node 16:19, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

If you could put up some previews that'd be great. I need some kind of preview to see what looks good.-Ivy73002MS.png 16:03, September 15, 2010 (UTC)

I am currently looking up how to do such a thing without changing the actual skin. Toomai Glittershine Data Node 16:19, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
Have you tried Solar Dragon's test wiki? He'll let you try it out if you ask him. --Havoc'48 19:31, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
@Toomai - You could provide the code [somewhere]. Then, people could copy and paste the code in their personal monaco.css. That way, testing won't interrupt everyone else's view. BNK [E|T|C] 22:26, September 15, 2010 (UTC)
My plan is this: I will make the skins as part of my userspace so I can work on them. People will be able to try them out by C&P'ing as you said (I'll post links once I think they're complete enough), but for those who don't want to do that, I'll be putting up sample images as well.
