Alternate costume

In the SSB series, each character can change his/her outfit's color to advoid confusion if he/she is facing the same character they're using.

SSB

• One of Mario's alternate costumes causes his outfit to take on the same color scheme as Wario's original plumber outfit.
• All of Kirby's and Yoshi's alternate costumes are shown in their respective games.
• One of Captain Falcon's alternate costumes is that of his clone and rival, Blood Falcon.

SSBM

• The player can chose to control Nana in two of the Ice Climbers' alternate costumes. Popo will follow instead.
• One of Mario's alternate costumes causes his outfit to take on the same color scheme as Wario's original plumber outfit.
• One of Captain Falcon's alternate costumes is that of his clone and rival, Blood Falcon.
• One of Mewtwo's costumes makes him look light green. In the 2nd generation of Pokemon games and onward, this is Mewtwo's "shiny" color.
• One of Peach's costumes makes her look like Daisy, even changing her gloves.
• All of Kirby's and Yoshi's alternate costumes are shown in their respective games.

SSBB

• One of Mario's costumes will be Fire Mario.
• Link's black costume has been altered from a black tunic into Dark Link.
• One of Meta Knight's costumes will be Dark Meta Knight.
• One of Peach's costumes makes her look like Daisy.
• Donkey Kong has an alternate costume that is entirely white, resembling a yeti.
