The Shadow Beast, in Twilight Princess

Shadow Beasts are common enemies in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. They are one of Zant's (one the main enemies in the game, just under Ganondorf) most used, and most threatening, minions. They appear as strange, humanoid creatures with flat disks near their heads, and they originate from the Twilight Realm. They normally attack in groups, and are transported to Link's location from the Twilight Realm via warp points, like the one seen on the Bridge of Eldin stage that repairs the bridge. Three of these are usually sent to try and defeat Link, but later on, more than this are used to try and bring Link down. A force field surrounds the area to create an arena in which Link must fight the Shadow Beasts. Upon defeat, they lay unconscious. This is because, if the last two were not defeated simultaneously, the remaining Shadow Beast yells and awakens the fallen ones. Link must, in his Wolf Form, capture all of the beasts in an energy force field created by Midna, and attack them all at once. When defeated, the Shadow Beasts dissapear into the warp point, and the warp point remains in the sky for Link to use at a later point for travel.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl

The Shadow Beasts appear as a randomly obtainable Trophy and as a Sticker. To a minor degree, the warp point used to transport these beasts also appears on the Bridge of Eldin stage.
