Walk is a CPU mode available for selection in Training Mode. It causes the character to walk from one end of the stage to another, without attempting to attack the opponent or defend itself from attacks. It will still attempt to recover if knocked off, and even though the CPU will otherwise never attempt an attack in this mode, it is able to cause damage to a player if it uses an attack such as an up special move to recover. Walk is mainly useless in Training Mode, as it generally makes the CPU defenseless albeit as a moving target. In Debug Mode, it is known as WALK. In Super Smash Bros. Melee, the event match Event 19: Peach's Peril, has Peach set to the walk mode.

Merge.png It has been suggested that this article or section be merged with Training Mode.
The reason given for the merge is: Do separate CPU settings in a single mode qualify as their own article?. (Discuss)
This article is about the CPU mode. For the ability, see Walking. For the smasher, see Ryota, who is sometimes called Walk.
