The Star Rod is known for breaking many of the standard rules about reflecting items in SSBM. If it is thrown at Fox/Falco's shine, Zelda's reflector, Mario/Dr. Mario's cape, or Mewtwo's confusion(forward+b), it will not be reflected. It originates from the Kirby series.
- Fully charged star projectile hits for 6-12% damage.
- Fully charged rod hits for 13-24% damage.
- Tap A hits for 5-10% damage.
- It shoots 16-18 shots.
- The shots can be reflected by Fox/Falco's shine, Zelda's reflector, Mario/Dr. Mario's cape, and Ness's bat. It can also be reflected by Mewtwo's confusion(forward+b), but dosn't hurt the opponent.
- The shots can be absorbed in Ness's PSI Magnet.
