Charmander (ヒトカゲ Hitokage) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.

Creature description

Charmander is the Fire-type Starter Pokémon in Pokémon Red & Blue, and their GBA remakes Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen. It evolves into Charmeleon, and later on Charizard.


In Super Smash Bros.

While a major Pokémon in its own right, Charmander is only lightly represented in this one game in the Smash Bros. series. It also makes a cameo in Brawl via an unknown source, possibly from a pokeball. This can be seen on Smash Bros. Dojo in the various pics update.

As a stage element

Charmander is one of the five Pokémon which come out of the central building in Saffron City to perform an attack. It attacks with fire breath in the form of either the Ember or Flamethrower attacks, which acts similarly to the effect of the Fire Flower item. Template:Pokémon Smash
