However it is unconfirmed whether [[Master Hand]] and [[Crazy Hand]] would appear as final bosses during the final round. It is also unconfirmed how many [[Bonus Stage|bonus stage]]s would return in this mode before that and if any intruders would appear alongside a Giant opponent in [[Super Mushroom|Giant]] battles or/and alongside a Metal opponent in [[Metal Box|Metal]] battles as well.

Classic Mode appears again in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. Each character now has their own set of opponents and stages to face in this mode, which is similar to the 1P Game that appeared in Super Smash Bros. A unique name is given on the match screen, though it is unknown if this title is for the round or the character’s entire path.

However it is unconfirmed whether Master Hand and Crazy Hand would appear as final bosses during the final round. It is also unconfirmed how many bonus stages would return in this mode before that.
