In 2007 [[MLG]] decided to no longer have [[Melee]] on the Pro Circuit due to them wanting to focus on the next generation of video game consoles and because [[Brawl]] was coming out soon. Despite this they still helped out the Melee community by renting venues and supplying TV's and other equipment to several independently run tournaments across the country.
