Why did you make this type change without discussion?[edit]

It's not that big a deal in this specific case because the type in question is basically only for a single move so it was easy to find and change all its uses, and it's not a serious enough difference to be worth fighting to change it back. But we generally do not change any of our names for types or effects without discussion because doing so creates a lot of undesirable "downstream" effects - you left the categories behind and someone else had to fix them up, and we don't know what the effect will be on modding tools that reference the wiki. The one reason you provided in your edit summary was "Technical name is Parasol", but we are not beholden to official or technical names, so by itself this reason is not necessarily a valid one (it should have been discussed first).
