Hi there![edit]

Smash Wiki's Logo.
Welcome!

Welcome to our wiki, and thank you for your contributions! There's a lot to do around here, so I hope you'll stay with us and make many more improvements.

Read this first as it provides many great resources designed to help users get oriented with the wiki and become part of the community.
Visit the recent changes to see what other people are editing right this minute, and where you can help.
Questions? You can ask at the help desk or on the "discussion" page associated with each article, or post a message on my talk page!
Need help? The community portal has an outline of the site, and pages to help you learn how to edit.

I'm really happy to have you here, and look forward to working with you!

You appear to be new to wikis[edit]

So I'm going to give you a bit of help.

 1. First of all, when linking to pages, Page name is fine, Page name and Page name are redundant. Note that the underscores in links are not required; spaces are treated the same way. See Help:Editing for more info on links, and Category:Shortcut templates for ways to shorten links (short link=better). Additionally, be aware of redirects (such as the Sonic page, linking to Sonic the Hedgehog) that automatically link to certain pages. Sonic is unnecessary compared to Sonic.
 2. You should probably read our trivia policy too. Most of the trivia you added wasn't notable at all; being rather wordy and too specific. And try not to focus your edits on adding trivia, as there are other ways to contribute to the wiki, and the trivia section is, by far, the least important section on any page.
 3. Review our Manual of Style, not much to be said there except not speaking in second person.
 4. You are not to revert a reversion. You may have gotten the point already (someone warned you in your edit summary) but just in case, I'll put it here.
 5. Lastly, use the preview button before saving edits. You appear to make edits in groups of two and three, which clogs the Recent Changes. By using the preview button, you can shorten this to one edit.

That appears to be it; tell me if there's anything you don't understand. Qwerty (talk) 20:49, 20 October 2014 (EDT)

Here's some more tips.
 1. Italicize all game names. You italicize words by putting at the beginning and end of the word(s) you want to italicize.
 2. If you want to name a character for a specific game, say, Mario in Brawl, put Mario, instead of Mario. The code is , where the game is either SSB, SSBM, SSBB, or SSB4, and the character is the character you want to link to.
Hope this helped. Rtzxy Personal use; signature, to be exact Smashing! 22:01, 20 October 2014 (EDT)
In general, statements of "___ is the only ____" shouldn't be used when there are too many things that satisfy the condition. Miles (talk) 01:48, 21 October 2014 (EDT)

Forgive me if this is too blunt, but read a page before you edit it. Many of your edits have added either redundant or self-obvious trivia to articles that don't need it. Miles (talk) 02:00, 24 October 2014 (EDT)

Plural Links[edit]

If you want to link the plural version of a word, say, costume, you put costumes instead of costumes. Also, in case you haven't already, read the tips given in the above section. Thank you. Rtzxy Personal use; signature, to be exact Smashing! 19:36, 21 October 2014 (EDT)

Furthermore, to link to universe pages, like Mario, put Mario instead of Mario. Here's my talk page if you need anything. Rtzxy Personal use; signature, to be exact Smashing! 22:15, 21 October 2014 (EDT)
