"Other pages have had this in the past"[edit]
Can you provide an example? Because I, again, don't think it's highly necessary, since console exclusivity doesn't really mean jack when it comes to whether or not a character is in a game. Aidan the Gamer 14:01, August 28, 2025 (EDT)
Related to this conversation: In this edit summary, you did use the "Shovel Knight" page as an example of latest appearances listing off specific console versions, so I decided to dig through (no pun intended) said page's history, and sure enough, there has been one instance of this case... which was also added by you. Considering this went unnoticed for the year and a half it was up, I can only assume nobody gave it any thought on whether it was necessary or not.
Regardless, if you do have any more examples of this (preferably ones made by other users, cuz to be frank, the only example that I could find being one of your own edits doesn't really help your case), then I would love to see them. 🧥The Jacketed Terrapin🐢 21:49, August 28, 2025 (EDT)
Tetris Appearences[edit]
Just because Mariowiki allows Tetris appearances doesn't mean it's allowed on SmashWiki. Wario and Captain Falcon also had Tetris appearences but they were never noted on their pages. ZeldaStarfoxfan2164 (talk) is bad for me 22:17, July 13, 2026 (UTC)
- ...What, besides that, prevents us from listing Tetris 99 as the latest appearance for someone? I fail to see how it's different from any other cameo appearance. Aidan the Gamer 00:57, July 14, 2026 (UTC)
- The thing here is that Tetris events are made to celebrate the release of a particular game. Saying a character last appeared in Tetris 99 when it was to celebrate the release of the character's game make people forget about the actual game.
