Cleanups[edit]

"Needs tourney results" is not a valid cleanup reason. Instead, put a {{smasher-stub}} instead if it's needed, or make the tourney section, and put an {{incomplete}} template down then. F0rZ3r0F0r (talk) 01:17, 29 May 2015 (EDT)

Character usage[edit]

The rule for character usage is that a character needs to help contribute towards a set win in tournament in order to be added (so basically, at least one game in a set that they win). Sets where they lost but ended up winning a game do not count. Please keep this in mind for future edits! PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 18:44, 3 January 2017 (EST)

Please remember this. You seem to not be caring about it whatsoever in your edits. Diamond444 (talk) 14:28, 15 July 2017 (EDT)

You have ignored us a lot of times now. We do not add characters in losing sets to tournament results. Stop doing this. We are not going to ask you again. Black Vulpine of the Furry Nation. Furries make the Internets go! :3 02:12, 17 July 2017 (EDT)
I am not ignoring the rule. All of my edits since the second warning have adhered to the rule. I am finding all of this information through brackets on Liquipedia and verifying them based on the linked YouTube videos.Bismo Funyuns (talk) 02:30, 17 July 2017 (EDT)
Please keep in mind that a player winning a game with a character but still losing isn't enough to be added, since ultimately it didn't help them advance in the bracket. For example, I checked Liquipedia as well for FOW Saga and I only see that Larry used Mario in his sets with Nairo, but still lost. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 02:35, 17 July 2017 (EDT)
I understand. In fact, I don't remember ever editing it to say he did use Mario. I remember not doing it because he lost, but I may have been a tad reckless. However, I feel as though some of my edits deserve to be restored.Bismo Funyuns (talk) 02:38, 17 July 2017 (EDT)
I double checked and you're right. I don't know why I thought that was the case. I apologize for that. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 02:42, 17 July 2017 (EDT)

For the record, characters that are considered to be sandbagging characters for certain players that are only used in pools (such as M2K's Pichu) are also generally excluded from being listed. The reasoning for this is that the characters did not have any real impact on their placing and they could have used any character to beat their opponent. If you are going to add characters to smashers' performances at old tournaments, could you please provide proof in the edit summary (youtube vid will do) so that such a change is more easily verifiable? Thanks! Serpent SKSig.png King 04:55, 7 August 2017 (EDT)
