Do not write personal requests in mainspace articles[edit]

Both on the Kirby and List of Spirit Board Events articles, you used the article itself as a place to request information. This is what talk pages are for, not the articles themselves. These requests won't make sense to the average reader who is browsing the wiki for information, and aren't helpful for editors either, as talk pages already exist for this purpose. If you leave a post on a talk page, someone is bound to notice and respond to it without you needing to leave a message on the actual page itself. If you continue with this behavior, you will be blocked for disruption. Aidan the Gamer 16:15, March 20, 2026 (UTC)

So?[edit]

This edit[edit]

In my opinion, I really don't think games only mentioned in stuff like the Chronicle or character biographies (i.e. games only mentioned via text or dialogue) should count as proper representation, as they aren't really represented in Smash in any meaningful way other than a passing mention.

Franchises like Banjo-Kazooie, Bomberman, Final Fantasy, Rhythm Heaven, and Wii Fit all have games mentioned in the Chronicle mode Brawl, and while those instances have been mentioned on their pages, none of them are given the Brawl icon on the top rightmost corner of the article simply because it was only text that they were acknowledged and not stuff like trophies, stickers, or even music. Same reason we don't list the universes only represented via the Chronicle on either of the "List of minor universes" pages.

Also, regarding that edit, it's already stated that the Red Shell's behavior in Smash 64 is based on its behavior from Super Mario Kart, so I really don't see any point in mentioning that game's listing on Mario's biography since it already has some form of representation anyway (admittedly, these "Elements appearing in the Super Smash Bros. series" pages/sections have a lot of questionable entries in general (e.g. is Charles Martinet reprising his role as Mario really a representation of Mario in Real Time), but that's a discussion for another time). 🧥The Jacketed Terrapin🐢 19:02, March 28, 2026 (UTC)

You have a valid opinion, but I still think that we should count them, because it's still representation even if not "proper". I'm making a personal list of all games represented in the Smash series and I also count titles represented in these really minor ways.
I have an idea: we should list these games and series like NBA and Snoopy (which are in the Chronicle( in the Dependant universe section of the List of minor universes: that section only accepts universes that are represented in ways too minor to have a proper section in the article.
What do you think? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 37.100.62.134 (talkcontribs) 9:01, March 29, 2026 (UTC)
First off, please put your replies under the comment you're replying to instead of putting them at the top of the page.
Second, please sign your comments with four tildes (~).
Lastly, and I should've mentioned this in my comment above, but this was a discussion that I've had on the SmashWiki Discord a few years back, and the consensus was that they were way too minor to really be worth noting. Like, yeah, their names are right there, but it doesn't really mean much when all they needed to be acknowledged was to have a keyboard and to type in a few words (even stuff like stock artwork for stickers/spirits or music ripped straight from another game would still require you to download the file and uploading it into the game). I remember Omega Tyrant saying something along the lines of "The sentences are longer than the actual representation" when talking about the Chronicle/trophy description mentions on the "Elements appearing in Smash" pages/sections, which should really tell you a lot about their notability. 🧥The Jacketed Terrapin🐢 21:51, March 29, 2026 (UTC)

Ok then[edit]

We have different opinions regarding representation, but It doesn't matter. Have a good day! 37.100.62.134 12:28, March 30, 2026 (UTC)
