History
Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
From 2019 to 2023, Filipino Boyfriend competed primarily in the Scripps Ranch Power League, a high school tournament circuit that he cofounded, organized and operated. During this period, he won multiple events and finished ranked 1st on the league rankings.
Following his graduation from high school in 2023, Filipino Boyfriend took a competitive hiatus before returning to the San Diego Ultimate scene in late 2024 while attending San Diego State University. He later joined the university's Aztec Esports Super Smash Bros. Ultimate team.
Since returning to competition, he has competed primarily at Aztec Games events and other local tournaments throughout Southern California. At Aztec Spring Games 2026, he placed 9th and defeated SDPR-ranked player $$$.
Super Smash Flash 2
Filipino Boyfriend competed in the North American SSF2 scene during 2020 under the tag PSIPSY, primarily using Pac-Man. His best result was a 1st-place finish at ARSC Smash Strike 2020. He also qualified for the Oasis Invitational Bracket, where he competed against several of the game's top players.
Community involvement
Outside of competition, Filipino Boyfriend founded the Classy & Flashy crew, which evolved into the PlayRiDise (PRD) SSF2 crew. He later founded the Peacekeepers (PK) Flash Party crew. Both organizations became prominent within their respective competitive communities. He also occasionally provided commentary for Aztec Games events as a substitute commentator.
