Invitation controversy[edit]
As both players received the third- and fourth-most votes during the invitational's voting phase, RapMonster and Wizzrobe received full accommodations to attend the event. Prior to the event, however, Wizzrobe revealed that he never received the accommodations. When he questioned a Nouns employee, they revealed that they had assumed he was not going, and as such gave the invite to Jamie instead. Believing that it was not fair to pay to attend an event that was supposed to be free for him, Wizzrobe chose to drop out instead. In response to Wizzrobe, one of Nouns Esports' founders, Sasquatch, claimed that there was evidence that Wizzrobe's Discord had rigged the vote,[2] and that the organizers believed that Wizzrobe was attending a wedding the weekend of the event.[3] These claims were later supported by a response released by a representative to Esports Insider.[4]
