c-mash was the first notable European Super Smash Bros. tournament after the COVID-19 pandemic in which all active top-level players from across Europe came together. It was held at c-base in Berlin, a well-known hacker club and cultural venue. It was also the first Smash 64 tournament in Europe to be run using the Swiss format.
