Talk:Block

I smell a merge, of the block and "?" block articles with this one. If I get enough support, I'll move both articles here. My argument is that the two articles that exist are already short, so a merge would help with clean-up. Blue Ninjakoopa(Talk) 11:25, 31 May 2012 (EDT)

Weak support per tag. This page discusses very little about blocks themselves, for what that's worth. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 12:08, 24 July 2016 (EDT)

Disambiguation[edit]

Per Template:Disambig2, a term with more than two uses should have a dedicated disambiguation page. In this instance, "Block" can refer to:

I have found no evidence that anyone has even considered such a disambiguation since Steve's release in October 2020, even though I personally get confused by the lack of redirects or disambiguation constantly. Should action be taken here? I would personally make this article into a disambiguation page and move this article to something like "Block (Stage element)." Sincerely, Samuel the Banjo-Kazooie Boss. Split[edit]

Not saying to get rid of this page, but I personally support splitting the subsections into their own articles. For example, Brick Blocks appear in several parts of Mario-related locations in Smash Bros., yet they have hardly any information within their own section on this page. What about the explanation of design origins, better clarity of which Super Smash Bros. games they appear in, and so forth?

And some, like Drop Blocks, are unique to Super Smash Bros. but don't have their own articles. If these are given their own articles, it would be easier to document their connections to Super Smash Bros. and detailed Origin sections that correspond to their appearances.
