The Match Timer is an element that appears during a Time match in the series. It shows how much time it has left during a match. The timer starts when the announcer says "GO!". Starting with Super Smash Bros. Melee, the timer disappears when there is only five seconds left in the match and when that happens, then the announcer will start the final countdown. When time runs out, the match will come to an end. The timer can be adjusted between 1 and 99 minutes in the Rules section.
