XIF is a Peach main, originally from South Florida (Miami--Weston area). His name was originally intended as an acronym for X-Infested Falcon, but very few people actually think of it that way anymore.
XIF gained notoriety in 2007 during the "Golden Age". His claim to fame was the invention and popularization of the Peach "pillar" technique; although many players have given this technique different names (lawnmower, etc.), XIF still likes to refer to it himself as just "float canceled neutral airs into *insert another move here*", or "FC Nairs" for short. He first gained notoriety for it at Pound 2, where he notably broke CunningKitsune's shield. Like others players who have gained notoriety, it is debatable whether he was first noticed for playing technically or playing efficiently. He has wins against players such as Hungrybox, Plup, Wobbles, ChuDat, and n0ne.
XIF has been considered by out-of-region and state players to be one of the best Peach players in the Southeast; he has become very well known as a force to be reckoned with. The Peach "pillar" technique is quite difficult to get around for those who have never seen it before, and even with consistent practice against it, the variations available can still make it quite tricky.
XIF used to play with Green Mario, Linguini, Lambchops and other notable South Florida players. He was ranked 4th on the Florida Power Rankings during the time he was there in 2007.
He was listed as the 2nd best player in Georgia during his time in college at GA tech (as of September 28, 2007), and he won a statewide tournament over a top ranked player in Georgia at the time (Chaddd).
He was more recently ranked 5th on the Georgia Power Rankings in 2017. He notably placed 1st out of 70 teams in doubles at the supermajor tournament Tipped Off 16: Safari with Hungrybox.
