Dreadtech, also known as Dread, is a smasher from Melbourne, Victoria who started playing in April of 2014. A quick learner, Dread has climbed the ladder of Melbourne's scene, earning high positions in the tournaments in which he has performed. In addition, Dread has hosted a tournament, Check Yourself Before you Dreadtech Yourself, and manages the Oceanic Netplay Group along with 5 other players, hosting weekly tournaments for Project M and Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.

He gained cult status among the community for his performance during the Grand Final of Shadowloo Showdown V's Project M doubles' event, teaming with Armada.
