In ''{{iw|mariowiki|Donkey Kong Bananza}}'', Pauline, who is a 13-year-old in this game, is featured as Donkey Kong's sidekick, trapped underground (as well as initially being trapped in a form known as {{iw|mariowiki|Odd Rock}}) and seeking escape with help from Donkey Kong using her special singing powers. Though her relationship to the original Pauline is not clearly clarified in the game, she makes multiple references to an unseen grandmother, and a dress she can wear based on the original Lady design has the title of "Family Dress".

Though her relationship to the original Pauline is not clearly clarified in the game, it is subtly implied that Pauline's unnamed and unseen grandmother that she mentions several times in the game was retconned to being Lady from the original ''Donkey Kong'' arcade game which is further implied with the Family Dress outfit that Pauline can wear in this game.
