*''Ice Climber'' and ''R.O.B.'' are the only universes to have no primary spirits. ''Final Fantasy'' also applied prior to DLC.
*''Ice Climber'', ''Super Mario'', ''The Legend of Zelda'', ''EarthBound'' and ''Pac-Man''  are the only series represented by a fighter to use in-game sprite art for their spirits.
**''Ice Climber'' is also the only one of these in which all of its spirits are in-game sprites (not counting the Ice Climbers' alternate spirit artwork).
