READ THIS BEFORE WRITING "VETERAN"!
When watching the Nintendo Direct, Xander Mobus referred to Mewtwo as a newcomer. The way he was talking about him, it sounded like a character with a completely different moveset. I know there is not enough evidence to support my theory and it's all speculation now, but is this true? Will Mewtwo in Melee be completely different from Mewtwo in SSB4? (And I may be jsut talking BS; this is my own theory and I saw this nowhere else.)

I understood this as "newcomer" in the sense of he's new to the game after release, not anything else. Miles (talk) 08:47, 24 October 2014 (EDT)
I don't think newcomer in any game has referred to a DLC character.

I consider Mewtwo a semi-Veteran, with a slimar fate to my Melee Secoundary and SSB4 3DS Main, Doctor Mario. Igor the Mii (talk) 09:03, 24 October 2014 (EDT)
Whatever Dr Mario is then Mewtwo is too and and everyone classifies him as veteran. Guybrush20X6 (talk) 09:04, 24 October 2014 (EDT)
To me, personally, he's a veteran, even if he did skip over Brawl. The Direct might have said otherwise because, lets face it, Nintendo sometimes can't get it's own facts straight. "Semi-veteran" is a good way to put it, though. - BrawlMatt202 (talk) 09:11, 24 October 2014 (EDT)
I've also "pseudo-newcomer" by GameXplain when referring to Mewtwo.

If you only fought in one war, you're still a veteran. PikaSamus (talk) PikaSamus 10:09, 24 October 2014 (EDT)
But no one calls a person who just entered the military a "newcomer". And that wasn't exactly what I was asking. I was asking if he would have a completely different moveset.

I was responding to the topic as a whole. Sorry about that. PikaSamus (talk) PikaSamus 11:12, 24 October 2014 (EDT)
