Erm yeah I'm not sure how helpful this will be, but I used to play Brawl a lot and it was all dandy, and then my wii stopped reading the disc. Recently, I've started playing it again, and the disc obviously worked, but it's suddenly broken again and I have no idea how to fix it :( any ideas? 92.9.251.212 17:49, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

would someone answer quicker if i announced it's the return of i, who has this problem?! Ike6481 (talk) 18:11, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

Try taking it out of your ass first —Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.127.225.193 (talkcontribs) 19:25, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

I forgot sarcasm was difficult to understand over the internet; i'll let you off. Ike6481 (talk) 19:54, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

  1. Don't assume that twenty minutes is enough time for everyone to flock in and know what your problem's answer is, especially in the middle of a weekday.
  2. Try cleaning the disc and/or blowing dust etc. out of the Wii's slot. Various people have reported a similar problem (a year ago), so there might be more info out there somewhere.

it's not the wii, it's quite a weird problem? like recently, when it was working, to get it to work, i had to put in another game, let the wii load it and read it, then i had to take out that game and put brawl in. THEN brawl would work. now no matter what i do, it will not work :( Ike6481 (talk) 20:33, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

AHEM because some PEOPLE have accused me of no longer being historical, I bided my time until I actually had something to CONTRIBUTE. You may have noticed that the previous sentence included a good amount of (perhaps) undue capitalization, but in fact it was a clever segway into the topic du jour, if you will, that being, of course, the history of capitalization which I PROMISE has something to do with your problem, if you'll just stick with me. See, I had just finished a, ahem, visit, with Josephine, the wife of Napolean (at one time, until she was replaced, because she was unable to bear children, by Marie Curie) when I received an urgent telegram from Nelson Mandela, then Prime Minister of the Protestant League, telling me that Alexander Graham Bell had been trapped in a coal mine cave in in Mt. St. Helen's (the white one, not the ash like one) and he was ordering me to rescue him (of course, I had sworn fealty at that point to my half brother (not technically, but sort of...it's hard to explain...) and then leader of the Knights Templar, Theodore Roosevelt, so I didn't have to help Mandela but Bell was so close to finishing his grand master plan after receiving a Nobel Prize in calligraphy, so I went and used my fire breath to get through the Harpies guarding the golden fleece which I used to bribe the folks at Tammany Hall so that they would issue a court order for the Oompa Loompas to get him out. And so you see, this helps your problem because some letters on your CD are capitalized. 13375poolR (talk) 21:04, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

oh right, at a guess that was meant to be funny.

but erm, does anyone know how to fix it...? Ike6481 (talk) 21:26, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

Try taking this problem to Nintendo's customer service via their website. HavocReaper48 21:41, March 23, 2010 (UTC)
I tried that before and they just advised me to buy a new game; but I'm not doing that when mine has the potential to work :\ Ike6481 (talk) 21:45, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

Well, regardless of whether you get it to work, here's a tip: This is not the right site for this. Also, you really shouldn't have also posted your problem on admins' talk pages - they watch the Recent Changes, they'll see/have seen this page, and if they had an answer they'd probably give you it if only so they could trash this page. Again, there are far better places to find an answer for your problem, and you have to be patient before you find one. Toomai Glittershine Toomai.png The Stats Guy 21:58, March 23, 2010 (UTC)

sorry, too much time at rationalwiki has made my wiki decorum rather lax i suppose 92.9.251.212 23:48, March 24, 2010 (UTC)
