Item class Health Recovering

Team Healer (チーム回復(かいふく)だま, chīmu kaifukudama, Lit: Team Recoverable) is an item introduced to the Super Smash Bros. series in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Its main use is in Team Battles, where a player can heal a teammate by throwing the item at his/her character (as such, it can't possibly be used on oneself). If it is Eaten it will have no effect, regardless of who threw it. However, if it hits an opponent, it will either deal damage or heal them; damage is more likely to occur. The amount healed is based on the amount of damage the ally currently has, with higher amounts recovering relatively more than lower amounts (percentage indicates what percent of the damage was healed, not the damage percentage):

  • 023->000 (100.0%)
  • 024->001 (95.8%)
  • 030->005 (83.3%)
  • 050->016 (68.0%)
  • 100->051 (49.0%)
  • 200->121 (39.5%)
  • 300->191 (36.3%)
  • 999->680 (31.9%)
  • It heals opponents by about 11%, regardless of damage.
  • It deals 8% damage to opponents.
    • In HP matches, the amount healed is a little more than the equivalent percentage. (ex.: if 100HP are lost, you will recover a little more than you would at 100% damage)

Trophy

Team Healer
A healing item. Hit a teammate with this item in Team Battle to reduce your ally's accumulated damage. You can throw it at an enemy, but the damage inflicted will be minimal, so you're better off using it to help your friends. This item will not react if attacked. Oh, and one more thing--you can't reduce your own damage by tossing the item up and letting it hit you. Sorry.

Trivia

  • Team Healers can do damage and knockback to characters with the invincibility with hit lag, such as that created by Starman.
  • If the player selected the Ice Climbers, this will work on the computer controlled character, even if there are no teams (e.g. Training Mode) or there are no other players on the player's team. It's simple enough to press the grab button during a jump to drop it directly on him or her.
  • This item is very similar to the attack Present in Pokémon when used in a double/triple battle (since you'll have a partner that can be targeted). The main differences are that Present can harm enemies and allies alike, it has 3 amounts of damage it can deal (Present: 40/80/120 - Team Healer: 8), and it always heals by the same amount (80HP).
