Spear Pillar made its debut in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl where Dialga and Palkia can be captured. It is set in Sinnoh.
Spear Pillar has been confirmed to appear as a playable stage in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and Dialga, Palkia, and Cresselia make cameo appearances in the background to devastate the players. It is a destructible stage, which also features a cave underneath the surface which players can brawl in.

Stage Elements
After the first few seconds in battle, Dialga (Common), Palkia (Common), or Cresselia (Rare) shows up in the background of the stage. You can tell what Pokemon will appear by the colour of the stage. If it is a slight bluish then Dialga will appear and if it is purple Palkia will appear. The Pokemon perform dissimilar actions when they appear.
For example, Dialga will shoot a vertical beam covering 1/3 of the stage, and Dialga and Palkia will both create abnormalities within the stage's dimensions, such as Roar of Time and Spacial Rend. Cresselia, on the other hand, will shoot an energy blade which randomly flies around the stage, harming anyone who comes in contact with it.
The Lake Trio, Uxie, Azelf, and Mesprit, also make appearances here. However, these Pokémon are confirmed only to sit and watch, not conduct any other experiments on the stage.
