My MistakesEdit

I'm kinda new at this, so please post any mistakes I have made below.

Some of your editsEdit

You're making some good edits, but some of them aren't in the right place. For example, trivia about Meta Knight's special moves should go on the Meta Knight (SSBB) page, not the Meta Knight page. Toomai Glittershine   The Undirigible 17:57, 4 March 2011 (EST)

Also, try previewing your edits so that you don't have to keep changing your edits multiple times. To preview edits, you can click the "Show Preview" button next to the "Save Page" button when editing a page. T.c.w7468 17:59, 4 March 2011 (EST)
Seriously, use the preview button, you edited your vote on SA way too much. It clogs up recent changes. Forbidden7  18:31, 17 July 2011 (EDT)

Oh THAT. I was reading the F-Zero Universe page and it said that Captain Falcon wore a cape in Brawl, but I was not near my Wii at the time to check, so I went to the discussion page to ask about it, but it took me to the Alternate Music disussion page instead. I didn't realize that, so I posted my quesion. I did click preview, but still didn't realize what page I was on until I went back the original article, and went back to the discussion page to change it. I didn't think that I accidentally erased anything else. My bad. 25T16   It's-a me! 15:44, 12 August 2011 (EDT)

Things I would like to knowEdit

Please mark out when posted.

  • How to get the custom tier-list-looking-thing on my page.
  • How to archive part of your page, and if that's even allowed.
  • How to determine the point in which a talk page must be archived. I know how to do it, but I don't know when, one help page stated that there was a byte limit, and another said to do it when it feels like it should be.

Anything else that you need for me to know can be posted below.

On your ideas for SSB4Edit

The tiers are not in-game, dude, they are made by smashboards people. You cannot get rid of them, they do not exist in the game itself. Wait a minute, I lost, didn't I? --107.5.57.137 19:45, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

I understand that. What I meant was that Sakuri needs to balance the characters more. In the previous games, he was the only one to judge if the characters were equal in strength. I understand that there will be a tier list reguardless, but Nintendo at least needs to try harder to balance the characters. 25T16   It's-a me! 19:50, 14 August 2011 (EDT)
OK. Perhaps I might suggest rewording it so it won't confuse people in the future. I'm not mad at you, just saying. --107.5.57.137 19:51, 14 August 2011 (EDT)

Recovery Idea for Mario (hover nozzle)Edit

It's a good idea, but I'll doubt they'll do it for one person. Co. as big as Nintendo usually adds minor things by popular demand, so unless you can gather a mob of pleading smash fans, I doubt it'll work. PikminBrawler  Hop! 17:39, 19 August 2011 (EDT)

I really liked it. Can you tell me how to make the pics to jpeg files? I want to do a photo like this. Thanks. :D Zeldasmash (talk) 16:24, 21 August 2011 (EDT)
You have to search "ssbb pics converter" or something similar to that in order to find the files. There are four different files that you need, labled bin2jpgall, bindercrypt, cygwin1.dlll, and out2jpg. You can't see these files in the download, and I think that you have to extract these four files from the original compressed folder. I haven't done it in a while. Anyways, once you have the files, you put them all in the same folder, and put all of your Smash Bros. pics in the same folder. The smash pics should be "bin" files. once they are all in the same folder, pics and programs, you click "bin2jpgall" and it triggers all of the programs. You end up with a screen popping up with a black background and white text.* This is simply the computer running through the conversion proccess. Leave the computer alone for now.
*Note that if you don't convert that many photos at once (i'm talking like 100 or less), you may just see this screen pop up for less than a second.
Once the conversion is done, you will have 3 times as many pics. the original bin files, bin.out files, and jpegs. you can delete the bin and bin.out files, but the jpegs are the actual pics. **
**Some files will be corrupted when viewed (corrupted as in breaks in the pic and color distortion, possibly a solid grey area.
Now your pics are viewable, have fun!
If I need to reclarify this or post clearer instructions on my user page, just say so. 25T16   It's-a me! 17:25, 22 August 2011 (EDT)

I normally don't comment on "SSB4 ideas"...Edit

But seriously, Wolf is not a clone, or even a semi-clone. If you actually played him and compared him to Fox, you'll see how preposterous it is to call him a semi-clone, much less a clone (all standard attacks are different, their physics are different, their idle and movement animations are different, and their special moves are more different than most people give them credit for). The developers did a pretty damn good job at differentiating him from Fox, and calling them lazy for it is just plain insulting to them and the character. Omega Tyrant   20:52, 20 September 2011 (EDT)

The special moves are very similar, and the final smash is a downright copy. It's his own opinion. Let it be. DokteurPain99 20:54, 20 September 2011 (EDT)
I'll have to side with OT here. His specials are only losely based off of Fox's. Let's go through each of them.
Blaster: This attack is completely different. In fact, the Japanese version has a different name for it. Animation is different, function is different, so it is a different move.
Wolf Flash: Somewhat similar to Illusion and Phantasm, but has a different color and goes diagonally. In addition it does electric damage at its sweetspot.
Fire Wolf: Very different in animation, so much that "Fire Wolf" isn't even a proper name, since it doesn't have flames.
Reflector: Functionally it is the exact same, but the fact that it has a different animation and somewhat different effect should be noted. Plus possesing a reflector can hardly be called something unique to the space animals.
Landmaster: Again I'll give you this one, but it looks a bit different.
So out of his 5 special moves, 1 is completely different, 2 fall into the category of "somewhat similar", and only 2 can be called the exact same. Mr. Anon (talk) 21:22, 20 September 2011 (EDT)
Exact same is still wrong, Wolf's Landmaster and Reflector have their differences :/
And Fire Wolf is a completely different move, it's just has a similar name (which is irrelevant). So essentially, Wolf has one cloned move from Fox, and a semi-cloned move (though I'll argue Wolf Flash is different enough to not be considered that, and I don't count Final Smashes). So if you're going to call them clones and complain about it, you have ridiculously low standards for what constitutes a clone, and have unrealistic expectations of the developers. Omega Tyrant   23:09, 20 September 2011 (EDT)
Yeah, you're right. I said Fire Wolf is similar because the basic idea is the same, but they are about as similar as Final Cutter and Aether. Speaking of which, if you consider Wolf a clone of Fox, then King DDD is a clone of Kirby, since they share a Neutral special plus a bair (which, like you said, is one cloned move and one semi-cloned move). Note that Wolf also has completely different statistics (falling speed, aid speed, gravity, weight, etc) and a different playstyle. It is also ironic how you say Wolf should be removed under basis of him being a clone yet you fail to mention Falco, who is a great deal more similar to Fox than Wolf. Mr. Anon (talk) 23:21, 20 September 2011 (EDT)
What does this have to do with Falco? I just commented here on timmy saying Wolf should be removed on the basis of him being a "clone", and how the developers were lazy with him, which I feel is insulting to both the developers and the character. Omega Tyrant   23:30, 20 September 2011 (EDT)
I was saying how it was odd that the user here said Wolf should be removed under basis of being a clone, while ignoring the much more similar Falco. Mr. Anon (talk) 23:37, 20 September 2011 (EDT)
What do you guys not get about, "This is the user's opinion."? It's his user page; if he wants to say Wolf shouldn't return and Falco should, that's his business. Stop arguing about Wolf's individual moves and wether or not he's a clone on this talk page. It's pointless. DokteurPain99 09:21, 21 September 2011 (EDT)
Quite ironic coming from you going on about "user's opinion", when you censored me about what I had to say about a prospective RfA of yours, on the reasoning of "I'm wrong".
And I don't care who he says should return or not, but it's not an opinion that Wolf is not a clone, it's a fact, and I have the right to correct him on it. Omega Tyrant   12:42, 21 September 2011 (EDT)
Quite ironic coming from you going on about "user's opinion", when you censored me about what I had to say about a prospective RfA of yours, on the reasoning of "I'm wrong". First of all, some of those statements were flat out wrong. Not even arguable, just plain wrong, and it portrayed me as someone that I wasn't. You erased your name off my user page about a year ago, so don't play that card. This is a different situation, because it is showing an opinion about a fictional character and a company, not another individual.
And I don't care who he says should return or not, but it's not an opinion that Wolf is not a clone, it's a fact, and I have the right to correct him on it. It isn't a fact. It is a well-recognized opinion by the Brawl community. You could still have logical reasons to back up why Wolf is a clone (not that I think he is, but that isn't the point), and Nintendo and HAL don't say one way or the other. I am not trying to challenge your right to correct him. However, you and Anon turned this into an outright debate, which wasn't necessary. The user who's talk page this is hasn't even responded once. User talk pages, especially of users not even involved in the discussion, are not for debating aspects of SSB. It's pointless to debate about whether something on a user page is accurate. You gave him the correction, I called it an opinion (I maybe shouldn't have posted that either) and it should have ended there. He can have false information on his user page if he wants to. Don't make a big deal about it. Discussion closed. DokteurPain99 17:39, 21 September 2011 (EDT)

Saying "you're wrong!" while providing no argument/evidence for why I am is not how you debate DP99. That is how a child argues. And for removing my name, I removed it from a "friend list", as I did not see you as a friend. Ultimately however, that is irrelevant to now.
It isn't a fact. It is a well-recognized opinion by the Brawl community. You could still have logical reasons to back up why Wolf is a clone (not that I think he is, but that isn't the point), and Nintendo and HAL don't say one way or the other.
No, the Smash community as a whole does not see Wolf as a clone, and even if they did, that does not make them right. The Smash community once thought Captain Falcon had "low priority", even though he clearly doesn't. Are they right then just because it's a consensus held view? No, they were not.
I am not trying to challenge your right to correct him. However, you and Anon turned this into an outright debate, which wasn't necessary. The user who's talk page this is hasn't even responded once. Now you're accusing me of turning this into a debate, even though you were the one who came on challenging what I said :| Stop starting arguments with people, then saying they're the ones who caused it because they responded to your challenge. And it doesn't matter if this is another user's talk page, what Anon posted was relevant to your post, and if you didn't want responses, don't post in the first place. Omega Tyrant   18:01, 21 September 2011 (EDT)

  • I 'HAVE INFACT PLAYED AS WOLF AND FOX! I KNOW THEY'RE DIFFERENT! I KNOW THE METAGAMES!
  • CLONE WAS THE WRONG WORD TO USE TO GET MY POINT ACROSS. I SIMPLY THINK IT WAS A LITTLE UNCREATIVE OF NINTENDO (again, no insult) TO BASE WOLF'S SPECIALS OFF OF FOX.
  • OT, I APPRECIATE YOU CORRECTING MY FACTUAL ERRORS, BUT NOTHING ELSE! THEY'RE MY OPINIONS!

Regardless of the circumstances, do not use ALL CAPS. It's disruptive to the talk page and does not make your point any clearer. And do not call other users "4 year olds" for what was a rational argument. Was my comment meant to be challenged by DP99? No, but it was, and the necessary responses followed. Please handle a talk page discussion more maturely next time. Omega Tyrant   18:18, 21 September 2011 (EDT)

How did you die in SMG2's credits?--  PSIWolf (TCE) 13:34, 13 October 2011 (EDT)

I was beating it for the second time on that file, which lets you become Bee Mario during the credits, and I was on the snowy level during them. I was bee mario, and right when the "page" flipped to that screen, I decided to start flying before I fell into view (since you spawn in the air, above the screen). I flew for about 3 seconds before the screen blacked out and said "Too bad." I was all like, WTH? I had to reset the wii, because the screen just stayed black, with the occasional sound of a page flipping. 25T16File:HitboxEffect(Flame).png|20pxIt’s a me! 13:42, 13 October 2011 (EDT)
