Unlimited Rebellion Gauge glitch
The Unlimited Rebellion Gauge glitch is an exploit in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate that was discovered in patch 5.0.0. which allowed Joker to gain Rebellion Gauge faster in team battles involving Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon Change.
How to Perform
To perform this glitch, the match setting must be set to team battle regardless of friendly fire and choose any type of stage. Set the first and second players in the same team with the third player in the opposite team. Then, have the first player play as Joker and the second player play as the Pokemon Trainer. The third player can choose any character they want to be and start the match. Once inside of the match, have the third player damage the Pokemon Trainer's Pokemon (Squirtle, Ivysaur, or Charizard) continuously without KOing them until they reach to its high percentage. After receiving enough damage, the second player must use Pokemon Change which should fill up Joker's Rebellion Gauge to almost half of his full gauge faster with no effort of Joker taking damage. This glitch can be repeated multiple times, allowing Joker to summon Arsene much quicker.
Explanation
In doubles, Joker receives a small portion of his rebellion gauge when his teammate receives damage. Since the addition of the glitch involving Pokemon Trainer and Pokemon Change, the game registers each Pokemon character as new, which gives Joker more Rebellion Gauge based on the Pokemon's current percentage to compensate. In Competitive Play
After the glitch was discovered, this technique resulted Joker and Pokemon Trainer to be completely banned from playing in doubles due to being considered broken. A prominent incident is when MkLeo and Tweek decided to try to pull off this technique in the competitive tournament, Glitch 7, to "abuse the glitch." In response, Tantalus had tweeted an announcement that the duo of Joker and Pokemon Trainer would not be legal in Glitch 7 to prevent the duo from abusing the match. Tantalus would have reversed the ban if Nintendo patched the glitch by a certain time frame. The glitch wasn't fixed by then, so the ban on the Joker and Pokemon Trainer duo remained. [1]
