Zero Challenge 1 or The 0-C (oh C) was a Melee tournament on January 18th, 2004 presumably somewhere in Orange County, California. It was hosted by the SoCal Elite 5 crew and would be the first of three Zero Challenge tournaments. It was considerably smaller in attendance and talent pool than later 0Cs.

Ken's 1st place earnings from the tournament was reportedly $650.[1] Assuming a 60-30-10 payout and $10 entry fee it can be assumed that there were around 108 entrants for singles. Assuming a 5/3 ratio of singles entrants to teams, in can be thought that there were around 20 or 30 teams.
