I oppose the move. It's the mode's name in only one game. Special Smash does not cover the entire series' special modes, or else Special Melee would cover it in every game, as well. user (talk) 13:09, 7 November 2014 (EST)

:Support. "Smash" is a name generic to the series and doesn't only refer to Smash 4, so while the name "Special Smash" is only used in one game, it can still cover the other games with the mode. b2jammer (talk) 22:28, 21 May 2015 (EDT)

I have a question

do special brawls count or not because the caption for special brawl is "special brawls don't count" but a cheat says to unlock all characters you do 50 special brawls with stamina set to 1hp and a flower on the computer's head. But do special brawls count or not? --Ssbboverlord (talk) 13:32, 3 April 2011 (EDT)

Special brawls aren't recorded in the permament record thing, but they do count for getting characters (ie, if you need 20 matches, play 20 specials). MegaTron1XD:p 14:05, 3 April 2011 (EDT)

Merge

see Talk:Special Melee#Merge

Special Smash

I think it's worth noting how voice clip 83 for the anouncer in SSB3D in "Special Smash" despite there being no appearance of it in the game. 72.105.5.166 10:20, 18 October 2014 (EDT)

Merge 2

I support the merge. Special Melee and Special Brawl/Smash are pretty much the same thing, except the fact that the latter two can be mixed together, and have a few different modes (no Single-Button, curry, etc.). PikaSamus (talk) PikaSamus 11:29, 27 October 2014 (EDT)

Strong support They're all practically the same mode, with a few differences between them We could easily compare them in one page. Berrenta (talk) 13:38, 29 October 2014 (EDT)
Support. They're nearly the same thing. I really don't see a reason for not doing the merge. SmashBros (talk) 14:59, 29 October 2014 (EDT)
Support. I'd like to see the merged article called "Special Smash" rather than "Special mode", however (same with the Multi-Man articles, actually), since it's can still be construed to apply to all three. VinSymbol.pngVinLAURiA (talk) 14:59, 31 October 2014 (EDT)
An IP has started adding Melee info to the page, and since it looks like it's been agreed on, should I go ahead with a move to Special mode or not?

Go for it, though I still say it should be moved to "Special Smash" rather than "Special mode" if no one has any objections. VinSymbol.pngVinLAURiA (talk) 23:17, 31 October 2014 (EDT)
Move complete. Rtzxy Image for my signature (and before you say it's too large, I'm going to resize it as [[|20px]]. Reflect!!! 23:24, 31 October 2014 (EDT)

Special Smash move

I oppose the move. It's the mode's name in only one game. Special Smash does not cover the entire series' special modes, or else Special Melee would cover it in every game, as well. PikaSamus (talk) PikaSamus 13:09, 7 November 2014 (EST)
