DeletionEdit

Very Weak Delete. We'll never be able to include all of the Smash machinimas out there, and "notable" isn't very specific. Imagine how many people will add their newborn machinimas to this page. --Posted by Pikamander2 (Talk) at 17:56, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

I agree with Pikamander. Blue Ninjakoopa Happy Holidays 18:00, 23 December 2008 (UTC)

Hmmmm, well the original idea was to only include the well known machinimas, I mean its obvious one could never list all the Smash Bros. machinima, and I do agree on the notable being indistinct. How about rather than a delete of the entire page, a simple deletion of the list, and then provide a link to say machinima.com? IrvThaSol(talk to me)

That could work. There are a lot of Smash machinimas out there, so it does make sense to have an article about it. --Posted by Pikamander2 (Talk) at 21:33, 25 December 2008 (UTC)

We're going to need this page. There's a joint effort that is going to happen this month with us and the Fanon wiki. It will become apparent soon. Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 02:31, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Oh dear lord, I really hope that doesn't mean that... Cheezperson {talk}stuff 02:58, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Okay, no one has spoken on this subject in a while (kinda). Should the list just be taken down, or what?IrvThaSol a.k.a Ungod (talk to me)

No. Read C. Hawk's comment. Although, I'm unaware of what he means. When I showed the site's link on the main page talk page (apparently nobody had heard of it until then), I took it from some random user on my talk page. It really doesn't look like a fan site, but like a fictonal site. I haven't seen it since then, so can someone clear up this "joint effort" subject for me? MarioGalaxyMay Guthix be with you... 17:25, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

I saw that, but I too am still not in full understanding as to what this joint effort means. C. Hawk if you see this discussion, could you please explain the joint effort further? IrvThaSol a.k.a Ungod (talk to me)

Okay, now someone tell me why they saw it fit to create links to non-existant pages of specific machinima. What ever, I'll just right that by removing the brackets. No objections? Fine.IrvThaSol a.k.a Ungod (talk to me)

RevampEdit

Wow! who revamped this? It's great. a lot better than the original page. Who ever did it. My hat is off to you.

IrvThaSol a.k.a Ungod (talk to me) 22:08, 16 March 2009 (UTC)

The list is getting excessive.Edit

I'm not a notability expert, but I'm pretty sure that the list of machinimas can be pared down easily. As has been said before, having a list at all may be the problem. Toomai Glittershine The Table Designer 01:27, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

To be honest, the only ones that I think are remotely notable are Smashtasm, The Last Tier War, and Wolf's Retarded Mission (and others by those creators). Clarinet Hawk (talk · contributions) 01:48, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Probably only the first three are good. I've never heard of any of the others.Smoreking(T) (c) 22:57, 11 May 2009 (UTC)

Why only link to the most famous ones? Just because it's not as well-known doesn't automatically mean it's not as good. --Arceus3000 (talk) 19:14, 15 June 2009 (UTC)

Smashtasm is good to stay, Dexterboy's machinimas and Brawlgasm are as well (mostly because of Beans), The Last Tier War is good to stay. MALR is a stretch, but he's the only one I know of that doesn't use voice acting for most of his/her machinima, so I guess that's sorta notable. I've never heard of any other machinima creators on the list.L33t Silvie I see wat u did thar...

Another MachinimaEdit

There is another Machinima called The Legend of Olimar. It's made by ElectroBlade. Maybe if you're still posting Machinima's you could add it, but if you don't want to, I get why: If you post this then you'll have to post every single Machinima ever created, and all that stuff. But you could at least watch to see if it's good enough. But I'm not going to. For two reasons: #1I don't want two, and #2 I don't really know how.67.70.92.36 04:34, March 9, 2010 (UTC)

There's another Machinima called "Brawl Wars", I don't know who it's made by because I didn't look long enough for his name, but it's not being represented by Machinima yet, besides it's decently funny like Smashtasm.--Ryou Seiji (talk) 20:39, June 8, 2010 (UTC)

A typical Machinima Scene...Edit

Okay I really don't understand how that picture looks any more like a machinima then any other brawl snapshot. I do know that it happens to be a picture from Smashtasm, but for all I know it could be an example of Meta Knight's idle animation. I think we could find a better picture for Machinima than that. I just didn't want to randomly remove I picture without any reason so I'll just see everyone's reaction.highway [Image:highwaypumpypic.jpg|20px]] pumpy 01:06, April 20, 2010 (UTC)

It honestly doesn't matter, seeing how this page is fanon and will be deleted shortly, but it does somewhat resemble an average dialogue scene. --HavocReaper'48 01:20, April 20, 2010 (UTC)
  • I agree with H.P. Anyway, I do think that we could et a better image. It is a dialouge scene, but you wouldn't be able to tell if it was one or not based on the picture.--Qim1 (talk) 23:56, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

silver crisis pageEdit

there is a poplar machinima called silver crisis on YT, and i was wondering if it was OK it make a page about it. smashtasm and the last tier war have their own, so why not silver crisis? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Zelda101 (talkcontribs) 7:12, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

Weren't those deleted? Also, sign your posts with ~~~~. Talk to me on SW:IRC.--MegaTron1XD  07:14, July 27, 2010 (UTC)
No, you can not create a page for it as we do not allow fanon on this Wiki. Those pages you mentioned were purged long ago along with the rest of the fanon articles. Omega Tyrant   07:17, July 27, 2010 (UTC)

SuperDoodleManEdit

The Wrath of Giga Bowser has about a million views to start with, so definitly notable. MegaTron1XD  02:22, 7 January 2012 (EST)

Guess what I just made. The Wrath of Giga BowserDrakon64   02:25, 7 January 2012 (EST)

Wait what happened? According to that Community Portal one of the Wanted Pages was Wrath of Giga Bowser....Drakon64   02:28, 7 January 2012 (EST)

Megatron1 wuts going on with u? First u redirected my The Wrath of Giga Bowser page, deleting all my hard work, but then u come here to support it's inclusion? This is crazy.Drakon64   02:36, 7 January 2012 (EST)

Drakon64, fan pages do not belong on SmashWiki. Instead, take them to SmashWikia, because it now focuses more on Smash fanon. Any more fan pages you create will likely not survive a RfD. Mousehunter321 (talk · contributions) 02:38, 7 January 2012 (EST)

DeleteEdit

It's fanon. If you read this, you can see that machinimas should NOT be ignored. The only fanon thing allowed here is PM. Smashballz

Smash Bros. Machinimas are notable to the Smash community however. If it was an article about specific series such as Smashtasm, then true that we don't need to go too deep within fanon. Dots (talk)   The Metal Gear 17:28, 8 December 2013 (EST)
What exactly are you going on about here? Omega Tyrant   20:10, 8 December 2013 (EST)
Your signature is done wrong. Remember to use four tildes ("~~~~"), not three. That way, the timestamp is reported. Mr. Anon talk 20:19, 8 December 2013 (EST)
and WHY do you care?? Also, I didn't use tildes at all. That would use the user template. I MANUALLY put it in.t3h 0r4n93 b00l00n 22:19, 8 December 2013 (EST)
I don't get what you mean by "machinimas should not be ignored". It's still worth mentioning about machinima though. Dots (talk)   The Solid Snake 22:34, 8 December 2013 (EST)
read this. t3h 0r4n93 b00l00n 14:40, 19 January 2014 (EST)
How come you say "machinimas should not be ignored" (implying that you want them) yet you're going on about its deletion (implying that you don't want them)? Irony. Scr7 (talk · contribs) 14:44, 19 January 2014 (EST)
Because it's fanon. and fanon things(except PM) should be deleted. t3h 0r4n93 b00l00n 15:05, 19 January 2014 (EST)
Which is the sole reason why you're seemingly hypocritical about your opinion on the subject? Scr7 (talk · contribs) 15:08, 19 January 2014 (EST)

The page probably does need to be cut down a bit, but it shouldn't be deleted because it's important to state that such things exist. Why exactly is there a discussion here? Toomai Glittershine   The Producer 15:11, 19 January 2014 (EST)

None of you read the link, (here it is again) so you don't get it. t3h 0r4n93 b00l00n 16:36, 19 January 2014 (EST)
I guess you are unable to see what any of us have said. Scr7 (talk · contribs) 16:37, 19 January 2014 (EST)
Read about the things that shouldn't be ignored. t3h 0r4n93 b00l00n 16:45, 19 January 2014 (EST)
Okay we at least cut the page down by a lot but Machinimas are still notable to the Smash community, thus it shouldn't be deleted. Dots (talk)   The Ocarina of Time 16:49, 19 January 2014 (EST)
I'll copy and paste it for you, then.
The page probably does need to be cut down a bit, but it shouldn't be deleted because it's important to state that such things exist. Why exactly is there a discussion here?
Which [because it's fanon] is the sole reason why you're seemingly hypocritical about your opinion on the subject? Scr7 (talk · contribs) 16:55, 19 January 2014 (EST)

Orange Balloon is not being hypocritical and meant that the fanon policy should not exclude this page in his original statement, and that the no fanon policy applies to this page as well because he believes it's fanon. Awesome Cardinal 2000 17:21, 19 January 2014 (EST)

Correct. Also, how can anyone NOT spell OrangeBooloon right? t3h 0r4n93 b00l00n 17:25, 19 January 2014 (EST)
You still didn't refute what Toomai said: it shouldn't be deleted because it's important to state that such things exist. Scr7 (talk · contribs) 17:29, 19 January 2014 (EST)
Wow that's what the statement was understood as? Better go change it so that doesn't happen again. The intent is to mean "we're not going to pretend they don't exist, which means having pages that say they exist." Toomai Glittershine   Da Bomb 17:43, 19 January 2014 (EST)
