Marth's taunt

I read through the Japanese taunts before, and noticed that Marth's taunt said みんな、みていてくれ。 Shouldn't it rather be みんな、見ていてくれ? Obviously you can write it in Hiragana, but since Roy's taunt uses Kanji, why are we not using Kanji for Marth?
