Fun Fact, in every smash game, Dedede has had a new backair. First was the kick in brawl, then the vertical swing in Smash 4, and now the horizontal swipe. I feel like this should be trivia, since he is only character to have a new bair every game, unless I am mistaken.

Tips And Tricks
Many consider poor Dedede a low tier, but that isn’t really true. If you play him well, he can be a dominating upper-mid to high-tier. The trick is to be careful in using Gordo, and be prepared to hit it back or dodge a reflected one.
Also utilise Dedede’s good grab game, and use down throw for kill setups and confirms. Also, forward throw can be a very situational KO option at the ledge.
Also, make use of his ledge trapping. Really do.
