In December 2020, Twitter user Marshkitty accused Winks for pocketing money during a Black Lives Matter charity stream that he held back in June 2020.[1] Following this accusation, Winks deactivated his social media accounts and posted an apology where he promised he would give the money to the charity.[2] He has since given the money as promised.
