Omnigamer is a member of The GAMER Guild crew. He is also a moderator on SmashBoards, and one of the primary forces in discovering newer Kirby tactics and promoting Kirby's competitive abilities. He coined the term Fence of Pain, discovered the ledgehammer technique, and supports wide and varied use of the Final Cutter.

Player History

Omnigamer has been playing smash competitively since the Summer of 2003. A resident of Ohio, he entered the smash scene just as many of the major changes started to occur. Around that time, Tournament Go 4 had finished, and Ken first became recognized as one of the top players in America. This time period also marks the beginning of a solidified ruleset, in terms of items, stages, and stock/time limitations. Finding several other competitive players in his area, namely Pyrogamer and Vidjogamer, they decided to form the GAMER Guild as a means to compete with another nearby crew, the CWRU Crew (members at the time included SuperPichu and Camper Bob).

Originally a Marth and Ganondorf player, Omnigamer used Kirby as a side character to use in low-tier and other low-stress matches. However, due to shrinking time and motivation to practice, he dropped both Marth and Ganon in favor of Kirby alone in early 2005. After taking on Kirby as his primary character, Omnigamer was one of the main forces behind the advancement of Kirby's general metagame. He wrote many articles detailing effective use of the Fence of Pain, correct use of the Final Cutter for anti-edgegaurding purposes, various character strategies, shield-stun information for all of Kirby's attacks, Swallowcide-cancel escape frames, and many others. From this, Kirby went from having a virtually non-existent user base to a budding community of dedicated users. Omnigamer still sticks to using solely Kirby in modern tournaments.

Omnigamer also has produced a number of smash-related videos. His first production was RagnARok, an Action Replay video showing off many of the fun modes and options that could be played through it. His second production was a joint product with SuperDoodleMan, called Perfect Control. SuperDoodleMan was the main creator of the video, but lost interest in the video due to the extremely tedious editing method that was used to produce the main clips for the video, and thus handed over what was left with the video to Omnigamer. The video itself shows off frame-perfect execution of various techniques and combos. Omnigamer's latest production, titled The Kirby Cheat, is the first ever Kirby combo video, and was received with both praise and criticism of the content.

Finally, Omnigamer became a moderator on Smashboards in the Summer of 2005, put primarily in charge of the Character Specific rooms. Since then, he has been given control of all rooms in the Video Discussion forum, the Tournaments Discussion room, and all rooms in the Regional forums. He remains active as a moderator to this day.
