Proposal discussion

Support, as nom.

Support, although this is less "neutral tone" and more "back up everything with evidence". Ganonmew, The Evil Clone 19:01, 2 July 2017 (EDT)

I favor the policy itself, but we might want to merge with Words to Watch instead, as these policies seem to cover a lot of common ground. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 15:56, 3 July 2017 (EDT)

Despite the considerable common ground, I intended for NPoV to be a policy, whereas Words to Watch is to be a guideline. NPoV is something that SmashWiki should strictly adhere to; Words to Watch is a way to help users adhere to it.

I get what you're saying, but in that case, the policy reads a just a bit too much like a guideline for my taste. It should read less "here's what to do" and more like "this should be done" IMO. That's more of a nitpick, though, so weak support. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 16:07, 3 July 2017 (EDT)

Comments

This is somewhat of a sister proposal to SmashWiki:Manual of Style/Words to Watch. As a future reference, in the event one or both of the proposals passes, there are some bits of invisible text on both pages that may need to be made visible.

Furthermore, if this policy is to be accepted, it is to entirely replace SmashWiki:Neutral tone guide.

Bumping this.

Passing this late tomorrow if no one has anything more to say. Nyargleblargle.pngNyargleblargle (Contribs) 13:41, 12 July 2017 (EDT)

If you do so, can you pass Words to Watch at about the same time?
