SmashWiki:Requests for rollback

This page documents an official SmashWiki policy, a widely accepted standard that all users should follow. When editing this page, please ensure that your revision reflects consensus. If in doubt, consider discussing changes on the talk page.

This page is for requesting that one is granted Rollback powers on SmashWiki.

Rules

• Only self-nominations are allowed.
• All new nominees should post their name below as a in a level 3 header (===Username===). Underneath, the user should state why he/she would like to be granted Rollback powers.
• Users who wish to support, oppose, or comment on the nomination may do so underneath the person requesting Rollback powers.
• After sufficient time has passed to allow all users who wish to express an opinion the chance to do so, a decision will be made based on community consensus as to whether or not the request will succeed. Once a decision has been made, the discussion will be archived and moved to an appropriate subpage.

Oxico

I am Oxico. I have been a vivid editor to this wiki since before the time it was in Wikia. Now, I could say how I created almost all the Final Smash pages and provided the damage percentages. I could also tell you how I beefed up almost all the movesets. I could also drone on and on about how I have made more than 1500 edits to the main wiki. But, being humble, I will not brag. Instead, I will provde a link to a list of all my contributions to the main namespace, because I know actions speak louder than words.

I move for this request to be closed with the result as "promotion" due to the fact that he's gotten nothing but support for the past 2 weeks.

• Weak Oppose: You're clearly not a vandal, so I don't think you'd misuse Rollback privileges, but I have to go back to August of this year to find the last time you reverted an edit and of your last 500 edits only 2 were reverts, so I'm not sure I see why you need Rollback privileges. – Defiant Elements 05:12, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I am running for rollback. I have made a lot of edits, and I've been reverting vandal's edits like a rollback should do. Plus, I have been here for quite a while now, and I'm an active user. I do not vandalize pages, and I have never vandalized. I deserve to be a rollback. I have improved my grammar and spelling, so I basically will not spell things wrong. I do not use slang OR contractions very much. I would help the wiki in all that is needed. It will be best for me and you. Whoo. O.K. Here I go.

I am running for rollback because I am on Smashwiki as much as I can(which is nearly the entire weekend, and sometimes Mon-Fri), I consider myself trustworthy, and I haven't vandalized and I am against vandalism(remember LarioGalaxy or MarioGlaxay? I reverted many of their edits). I feel that not much more should be said, as it is just rollback, which can only be used against vandals, and with this message, I hope you support my RfR. Thank you. • Support. You're kidding, right? You kept an eye on my page for both of those vandals. You also helped against IPs such as the several IPs that wrote stuff like, "One of my favorites!" "I like this guy!" "This stage stinks!", among others. Only improvement I suggest is a little more time here on SmashWiki. How about you break your collarbone? Rollback's main purpose is to stop vandalism. As long as a user is active, and is not a vandal (I've never seen or heard of any instances where SK has vandalized), he or she, in my opinion, is worthy. Cheezperson {talk}stuff 23:20, 26 November 2008 (UTC)

I still have reservations about Smoreking, particularly when it comes to how he responds to vandals (i.e. he doesn't always seem to realize the value of dealing with vandals quietly), but he's been more active in combating vandalism as of late, so I'm withdrawing my opposition for now. – Defiant Elements +talk 21:10, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

I've been quiet. I haven't been causing trouble. Now then, can I please have a fair shot at this?

I'm Kperfekt, but most of you probably know me as KP317, KP, or just K. I'm requesting rollback rights, mainly due to the fact that we are getting way too many vandals, and because its the first step toward being on the top of this Wiki. May I also point out that bureacrats can revert my status at any time. Well, I'm the 7th biggest contributer to this site, I'm pretty harsh with vandals and delete their work fast, and this can just make it easier for me (and not flood the recent edits might I also add). I Really don't see the harm in giving me a chance. If this was a non-reversable decision, then yes, I could understand. But what harm could I REALLY DO? Bureaucrats come on this site every day, so even if I did "Cause harm to this Wiki", what damage could I actually do? In closing, I just wanna thank you for not immediately deleting this request. • Oppose. It's good to see you calm down, and I hope you remain so. But why do you desire rollback privileges so much? Many members lead full, productive lives without ever touching a mop. If it's prestige you seek, let me tell you, rollbackers and administrators are janitors, not Gym Leaders.
