Pummel is the move done by any character by pressing the A or Z button after using a standard Z(R+A) Grab attack. This move also works after using Bowser's Koopa Klaw, but does not work after other grab attacks such as CF's Falcon Dive or Kirby's Swallow. Pummeling can be used to rack up damage, or to trick your opponent into possibly messing up their DI. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, pummeling can be done much more quickly than it was in Melee.
