The player one online glitch was a glitch in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Wi-Fi mode. It was hard to perform by accident, although it could be performed easily with proper communication between players. However, the glitch is no longer possible, due to the removal of Nintendo Wi-Fi service from the game.

Performing the glitch[edit]

A player needed to log onto Wi-Fi and start a Basic Brawl, and join a group of three, including player one. If two players logged out, and almost under a second later two others logged in, the glitch would occur.

The result[edit]

The first player would become player three, creating an empty space, and one of the online players would become player one, making the light-red online status box. Another notable point was that the time turned to 84/5 and when the time ran out, all players would be forced to leave. Also, some players might not have been able to move during the fight.
