The Galactic Federation is unable to terminate the Metroid species from planet Zebes. So they send in a lone Bounty Hunter named Samus Aran to finish the Job. As Samus explores the planet she comes across [[Kraid]]. Afterwards she finds [[Ridley]]. After defeating [[Kraid]] and [[Ridley]] Samus finds herself with all her upgrades and at Tourian. Tourian is where Mother Brain, the leader of the Space Pirates is located. After fighting through several Metroids Samus encounters motherbrain herself. Smud defeats Mother Brain and has to escape the planet before it explodes.

Super Smash Bros. series

Samus Aran, the game's main character and silent protagonist, is a playable character in all three Super Smash Bros. games. The theme for "Brinstar" can be heard on the Planet Zebes stage in Super Smash Bros. and on the Brinstar stage for Super Smash Bros. Melee. In addition, the theme for the area "Kraid" is remixed on the stage, Brinstar Depths. A remix of the Brinstar theme appears in Brawl.
