The handheld games Pokémon Red & Blue, Pokémon Gold & Silver, and Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen all takes place in Kanto.
The Kanto region has also played a part in the Super Smash Brothers. All of the Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. and most of the Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. Melee come from the Kanto region.
