Everybody seems to hate him. The thing is, though, he's the guy who created the series, and people only seem to hate him because he took out some unintended physics exploit and slowed down the game, so that people who have trouble following the fast action can play. He added in the very first true story mode in the game, and people attack him because he added one thing that was too random. I've said this countless times, but it's not like Sakurai's haters can do anything to him. What will they do? Sue him? Take over Nintendo? I think this is so commonplace because everyone can say they hate Sakurai from the safety of their homes, but then again, it isn't like these people can meet him and tell him their opinions to his face. Brawl being a "bad game" is a terrible generalization. It may not be as good as its predecessor, but Brawl isn't a bad game. Nor is it a "party" or "children's game". Sakurai probably ignores this hatred, but what say, hypothetically speaking, he sees everyone's negative opinion on Brawl. That would discourage him greatly, and there may not be a next Super Smash Brothers game. But that's speaking hypothetically, and I'm hoping he does ignore said opinions. Haha.
