Donkey Kong Jr. is the original Donkey Kong's (Cranky Kong) son. It is implied that the current Donkey Kong is Donkey Kong Jr.'s son.

In the Super Smash Bros. series

Donkey Kong Jr. appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Melee. He also appears as a sticker in Super Smash Bros. Brawl. Donkey Kong Jr.'s other name is Diddy Kong in other games on the N64 and other gaming consoles.
