Dixie Kong is a character in the Donkey Kong series. She is Diddy Kong's girlfriend. Despite Diddy Kong's absence in Super Smash Bros. Melee, Dixie appeared as a trophy, and later reprised this role in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

Hackers who decompiled the Brawl disc discovered a character file package that appears to have been made for Dixie Kong, possibly indicating failed plans to include her as a playable character in the game. Speculatively, she probably did not make it in because of her similarity to Diddy Kong (and her much smaller relevance to the Donkey Kong series), like other failed characters such as Toon Zelda and Toon Sheik and their similarities to Zelda and Sheik.

Diddy Kong has a pink costume that makes him similar in appearance to Dixie Kong.
