In many ways, the Smash community is seen as the foremost Smash official, surpassing even MLG. Not only is the community more focused, but it also encompasses a broader range of topics than MLG (when considering only Smash games, of course). Most major tournaments are arranged by members of the community, and they are supported and advertised by others. The community is a self-supporting network of places and people that band together to make the Super Smash Brothers scene what it has become today.
