Series symbol
A series symbol is the small logo that represents a universe in all three Super Smash Bros. games. It is shown on a character's damage meter as well as on the victory screen. On Smash Bros. DOJO!!, symbols accompany updates, depending on which universe they represent.

- All images are taken from DOJO!!, save for the Game & Watch and Metal Gear symbols, as they have not appeared there, yet. The Game & Watch symbol is taken from SSBM, and the Metal Gear symbol from the SSBB preview site.

Numbering
On Smash Bros. DOJO!!, the file names for all of the logos are numbered. This has created immense speculation. Currently, the highest known number is Kid Icarus at 18, while the lowest is Super Smash Bros. at 01. The only number under 18 which has not recieved a logo yet is 13. There are two universes left which have not gotten icons - Metal Gear and Game & Watch. Metal Gear is known to be in the game, while Game & Watch is not. Thus, one might assume it to be logical that #13 is Metal Gear. However, the logos seem to be sorted by their first appearance in the series. Series which first appeared in SSB are first, then series which debuted in SSBM, and lastly series which will debut in SSBB. 13 falls into the SSBM section, so it would be logical that Game & Watch would go there. Also, one should remember that 18 is simply the highest so far, there may be more symbols with higher numbers. In addition, Sakurai confirmed that there would be three third party series represented, so at least two more series are guaranteed.
